On our way there we stopped at our friend's house where we wanted to spend Christmas eve. Since we couldn't get there due to the snow storm we wanted to stop by and give them our Christmas presents. When we arrived my cousin and her family were also there to spend New Year's Eve with the family. So we chatted and played for a while until we finally continued on our way to Wolgast.
We had Raclette for dinner and it was just soooo delicious. We were so busy eating that I forgot to stop eating or take a picture of the delicious food. After dinner we played some games and waited for midnight to come.
Even though we were all stuffed we enjoyed some delicious donuts, (in German: Pfannkuchen / Berliner) and had our "Oliebollen".
At around 11:30 we got ready to drive to the beach to watch the fireworks. It was great because on the island of Usedom each city on the beach has their own little firework show and you can almost see them all along the coastline. We watched the fireworks next to a big hotel, which had its own great firework show, so we spend a good 30 minutes watching fireworks.
We drove back to Wolgast and decided to play another round of "Wizard" and have some ice cream. Our friend's little daughter also decided it was not time to go to bed anymore so she was wide awake and enjoyed our company.
